We save teeth.

Minimally Invasive Endodontics (MIE)

Do you have a tooth that is causing you pain with cold or hot foods? Is chewing causing you discomfort? Perhaps you simply can’t chew on one side at all.  If this sounds all too familiar, don’t despair. There are treatment options to consider other than having the offending tooth removed.

Saving teeth

Our mission is to save teeth. Root canal treatment saves teeth that would otherwise need to be extracted. During treatment, a small opening in the biting surface of the tooth is made. This is called the access cavity.

Specially Designed Burs

Dr. Convey uses specially designed burs to keep these openings as small as practical and keeps the tooth as strong as possible for as long as possible. Strong teeth that function normally can last a lifetime. Who doesn’t want strong teeth?

Existing Restoration

This careful approach to opening the tooth can also help preserve someone’s existing crown. As a result, our patients can often avoid the additional time and cost of having a new crown made. Who doesn’t like avoiding extra expense?

Let’s look at two recent examples.
